NoteEight designated floating blind sites are located on the Potomac River in Fairfax County adjacent to Great Hunting Creek and Dyke Marsh Preserve owned by the National Park Service. Float blinds may be anchored at the blind sites designated by the Department or attached to white buoys, if present at the blind site. A map with the blind site locations is available at https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/wp-content/uploads/dyke-marsh-map.pdf Boat access is from Belle Haven Marina off the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Licensed floating blinds must be at the designated locations. Hunting is permitted Thanksgiving Day and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during open seasons for hunting waterfowl in Virginia. Blind Sites shall be occupied on a daily first come basis and no earlier than 4 a.m. or later than one-half hour after sunset. Hunting is not permitted on National Park Service property.
